Nyanout 1.0 script details Nyanout progressively adds a transparent background color to all the elements on the page.
As elements are nested into each other, the background colors overlap, creating a deeper and darker color as the element is inside more containers.
By default Nyanout goes down to the sixth nesting level, but new levels can be added to its core without many complex edits.
Using Nyanout's technique the developer basically turns on yellowish background boxes around each element on the page, helping him inspect their position and determine if they're properly aligned to other page elements.
Besides the CSS snippet and the JavaScript file, Nyanout is also available as a Google Chrome extension.
